[Miata] Dash Repair?

I have a 99 Miata with the Tan interior, somehow I managed scuff the center
console with a computer I was tranporting in my passenger seat.  :-(  It
appears the tan vinyl is sort of a coating, because what's underneath is
whitish.  Not sure if it's plastic or fiberglass.  The scuff is about the
size of quarter, not big, but in a real obvious spot that is going to bug
the cr*p out of me.  

Anyway, does anyone know of a nice way to repair this without replacing the
entire console piece?  Just a shot in the dark.  I may be able to mix up
some paint to match close, but it will be a challenge.
