[Miata] AFM Plug

I know this is basic, but how do I remove the AFM harness plug from the AFM on my 1990. I tried to simply pull it out, but it's in tight and I didn't want to force it. There are two small screws a bit farther down on the AFM connector. Do I unscrew these?
