[Miata] Just saw this NMC inept at customer service andrespecting the company's customers

The thing about this is you only have the word of the "owner" of the 
business that it was an employee that did it without permission and that he 
was really fired.

Smells a bit like damage control to me.

I'm not really sure I buy the story of what was done to remedy the 
situation.
