[Miata] [NMC] Just saw this

No problam and no flames, Neil.  Sorry! But 35-40 years living mostly in
Europe has definately left its scars upon my American English. My Swedish,
Norwegian, Danish and  German have all probably also taken a beating by this
multilungual thing. (My French was never good enough to be affected.) 

Not withstanding that fact, irrespective and not regardless of the above, I
am pretty lucky I can still make myself understood (assuming that I WAS
understood).

I hate to be the grammar police, but this is one of my pet peeves because of
how frequently it's used. 
There's no such word as 'irregardless'.  It's a double negative, like saying
'not regardless of'.  On the other hand, 'irrespective' is a legitimate word
and a synonym for 'regardless'.

Let the flames begin.  I'm sure I'll catch some for this. :-)
