Not quite a valve powered calculating machine, but I still have an 8080
processor that came out of an old IBM Series 1. It predates the 8086
processor and measures about 6 inches square on a circuit board. The ol'
girl is gone now but I also still have the OS upgrade on 6 - 10inch
  floppies.

I bet that between all of us on this list alone, we have quite a few museum
pieces! How about Windows For Workgroups 3.11 still in the original box? I
think the earliest DOS I have is 4.1 - does anyone have an earlier version?

RAM *chips*?!? The PDP-8L that I cut my teeth on had real live ferrite
core memory; all 4k of it.

  Cheers,
     Jon.

(Wonder who's going to be the first to admit working on a valve-powered
  "calculating machine"? :) )
