I guess if were me I'd start by at least replacing the in tank filter and maybe even the pump.

Subject: [Miata] Left turn hesitation
Ok... This is one that stumps me. My Miata runs fine on the street (maybe because I can't really run it hard for long periods of time) but on the track when I get down to about 1/2 tank when I run through a hard sweeping left turn then engine sputters as if it's running out of gas. It has no problems with right turns (thank God there is only one hard left at PIR). Any way I went to the trouble of pulling the roll-bar to get into the gas tank thinking I'd find something visible I could remove to fix the problem (bubble gum wrapper or something) but there was nothing... Where do I go from here... I mean I don't want to spend hours bolting the roll bar back only to find out the problem still exists...
Here are the specs on the car... It's a 94R Engine is stock with the exception of having the timing advanced...
Where do I look now? Do I just start replacing all the fuel related hardware?
