[Miata] Seat Belt Tower Brace

I bought one from a wrecker for my 91 but found I could not install it. The
94 /on have captive nuts to hold the brace. The older car doesn't have them
and I couldn't see any easy way to put any in place. They don't make Riv
Nuts that large and there's no easy way to get into the tower to put a nut
in. I ended up getting a Brainstorm brace that bolts to the seat belt
attachments.

I removed the seat belt tower from my 97M when I installed a roll bar. 
Does any know what neds to be done to install the brace in a pre 94?
