[Miata] Powder coating

Two problems with DIY
1. Is cleaning the parts well enough. The guy that does my powdercoating sandblasts everything first to make sure it is clean and the surface will allow the powdercoating to bond.
2. Is curing it. Do you have a spare oven?? I'm not sure I want to cure it in my oven in my house.
Someday when I build the 10 car garage/workshop I will have an area with an oven and a washer and dryer in it for doing powdercoating and cleaning up work rags and clothes.

Okay, so I want to get my valve cover powder coated, but I saw on Eastwood.com that you can buy a DIY kit of sorts...anyone have any experiences w/ this? Curious as to the results I might be able to get out of such a kit? I'll probably have to wait until this summer to do anything, but would love to be able to do it myself...could have myself a new hobby!! Any tips? thoughts? fears? etc would be great.
I know that if I had a setup of my own I could do my brake calipers, valve cover, intake / exhaust manifolds, wheels (if I got bored w/ current color). I know it would save cash, time, and best of all, I'd have a new toy.
Thanks in advance
