It's been suggested that I should replace the rotors as well. I thought it was ok to simply clean the rotors before swapping pads.
I imagine track drivers do this as they switch from street to track pads before an event. Any thoughts?
Also, I keep reading/hearing about rotors for less than $20 each. I'm looking at Autozone and Napa and the fronts are $30-60. Only
the rears can be found for <$20.
If I decide to get rotors, are cheap rotors ok?

I forgot what brakes you had (NA, NB, Sport...) but I'll go by my NB non-sport. Going to RockAuto.com I'd order Raybestos
Professional Grade rears at 24.79 each, then Wagner fronts at 16.11 each - averaging to about 20 a piece ;) then I'd find myself a
RockAuto discount code (type "RockAuto discount code" into Google), save about $4, and with shipping be just under 100 (98 in my
case) for four rotors.
Classically I avoid the "Raymold" line of parts from Raybestos and anything labeled "red service grade" on RockAuto - at
least insofar as my Miata is concerned ;) I bought a red grade drag link for my Ramwagon and while I'm sure it won't snap, it's
basically just a solid bar of metal with two end links, whereas the stocker (which was loose) had dual adjustable ends. I'm not sure
what a "red grade" brake rotor loses to a "pro" or "regular" rotor. Cheaper metal, perhaps?
At the time I did mine I couldn't do better locally, so I ordered from there, but there's a chance Advance might have had
some cheaper stuff and in the case of metal rotors, tax will hurt less than the shipping (which in this example is $20!) For some
reason Advance has rears at only 17.11, but fronts at 54.94!! Strange... Anyway, I suppose I wouldn't buy from them in this case.
