[Miata] Red Miata Down

How many miles on that timing belt and how old is it.  It's not real common for the belt to break on a Miata.

  Driving home from work last night about 7:30pm. A warm beautiful sunset night so I take the Coast Highway with the top down. Enjoying the view of the sunset over the Pacific as I cruise along at about 55 mph when out of the blue the engine dies. A quick mental check of the situation tells me it is a broken timing belt. Sucks.
