[Miata] Any secrets as to How to remove seats...

There should be no rust involved here since the bolts are threaded into captive nuts that are in the double wall of the floor pan. They do not go through the car.

The problem with breaker bars from HF is they do what their name implies, break. I've snapped one trying to loosen the bolts from the diff.

Harbor Freight sells a 25 inch long 1/2 inch drive breaker bar with a flex head for $15 ($9 on sale). This worked really well on my seats (and a couple of other places). One thing to try if they are rusted is to tighten the bolt very slightly to break the "ring of rust" and then loosen them.

I dunno... I keep reading these "lean into it" posts and I keep seeing
the bolt head suddenly turning easily, then falling off.

Get underneath the car and with some creative estimating, find where the
bolts protrude from the floor. Douse it with PB Blaster, maybe even
take a brush and try to clean 'em up.

Now as I write this I realized that I never had to take these steps and
I don't even know if they poke through the floor... but every other car
      I've encountered has....
