[Miata] 6200 RPM Cutout

Greetings!

   It is almost impossible not to have a 01 code (ignition pulse) if you
also have a 03 code (G signal or CAS pulse) since the first is derived from
the second.   If this problem always occurs at the same RPM, then it is most
probably the crank angle sensor (CAS).

   See if you can borrow one from someone to try out before spending the
money.   Incidentally, I had some similar problems in one of my '90's that
turned out to be bad connectors in the wiring harness.   Try wiggling the
CAS and coil pack connectors and wiring while the engine is running to see
if the problem appears.   If it does, then I have a couple of fixes you
might try.   If not, you will probably have to bite the bullet and replace
the CAS.... or just mentally move your redline to 6000 RPM and save some
wear and tear on your engine.   ;^)
