[Miata] 2 questions

I'm afraid I don't follow that logic.  These poles are designed to separate traffic lanes (or at least that's how they're used here in Austin); you're *not* supposed to run over them, but if you do, they're designed to be less destructive than a solid barrier.  Would you complain about the damage to the side of your car if you sideswiped a more substantial barrier?
