Speaking of which, I read a blurb in a GoMiata catalogue the other day that recommended shifting ALWAYS at between 5-6,000 RPM. Does anyone do this except on the freeway or racing? Or am I just getting old??

They all do that, but they're all a little different depending on tires, etc. Just compare your speedometer with a GPS and then make mental corrections as you drive. Or consider it a "cushion" and always drive 5 MPH over the speed limit, knowing that you'll be really close to being legal.

I have a '94 5 spd, m edition. They speedo seems to be running a little
fast. What are the revs in top gear at 60mph, or 80mph??
