Don't do the NAPA pad idea. I'm sorry I did that on mine.
Pedal feel is gross. Initial grab and then you have to
stomp to get them to bite. I just don't want to spring for
another set of pads just to change the feel, but they will
get changed sooner rather than later.

Who actually makes the NAPA pads? Raybestos? I
wouldn't be surprised. I've never used RB's pads except on
one rear disc application. No particular reason, I just
figured most of their stuff was "run of the mill" and I
usually look for higher performance pads. That doesn't
excuse "feeling gross" though!
I'd add the Wagner's ThermoQuiet pads are great for
a DD, non-racy type of thing, but I've only used their
semi-metallic formulation (I really love them on my wife's
SAAB, but that's another car with great brakes, you could
put Jello in there and it'd work alright). However the
material they make for the Miata is organic (same pad line,
different material...) and I have yet to find an organic pad
that I like. Not saying they're bad, just saying I won't
recommend them! If they made semi-metallic I might even put
them on my Miata (the price is very low).
