Mine hit yesterday. I was instructing at our local autocross school. In the session where we were giving students rides in our cars, the lever refused to go into first. I turned off the motor and started it in gear. I was able to give two or three more rides because I was still hitting the 1-2 shift OK. Then on a run it refused to shift to second. I stopped the car started it in second and gave the student a half of a run and then parked it.

My auto-shop-instructor buddy who is a fellow autocross instructor and a Merlot-edition owner reached under the car and rolled back the boot. Yes, it was wet. This was a sudden onset. The fluid level was fine when I checked it last night.

I drove it home broken and will replace the slave this week.

I have been bitten by the CAS O-ring leak wrecking the heater hoses and now this, both at autocross events. What else should I check on a 1994?
