[Miata] First Winter Drive

Yeah, I had one of those too. Didn't wash it all summer and you couldn't
tell. Brown car - brown dirt. Now I have a black Miata. It's dirty by the
time I walk around to the otherside with the hose.
My theory is to keep it polished up in the winter and hose it off a lot,
trying to catch the sunny days to aid the drying. I'd rather freeze washing
my car than deal with all the scratches from a autowash.

What do all of you salty winter road drivers do to keep your car clean in
the winter? I have a hard top but I still suspect the local automated car
wash would push water through the top (it doesn't seal perfectly judging by
wind noise).
I'd hate to stand in one of those do-it-yourself places and freeze my rear
off.
I treated the paint with Klasse All-In-One and Sealant glaze about 6 weeks
ago.
In the past I just let my cars rust so this is a new concern for me ;)
