[DeTomaso] Attainable 70's muscle cars, Mach 1

Isn't the maximum strength you can get come from having the thread
engagement equal to the diameter of the stud? Ford uses 12mm studs so
maximum strength would be having 12mm thread engagement. I think SCCA only
requires 3/8 or 10mm for racing. Or is that an appearance thing that has you
thinking of installing longer studs?

I purchased the Campys as a spare set from someone on the forum.
Sorry, can't remember who.

They -are- thicker. No, I did not change the studs, though I should.
In most cases, the stud is even with the outside of the lug nut, but
there are a few cases where the nut has a thread exposed. Using acorn
style lug nuts, one would not notice this and be totally oblivious.
In my case, I've always used standard nuts, so it was obvious to me
right away, but not enough of a concern to go out and replace all the
studs just yet. They only need to be an eighth or quarter inch longer.
