Afternoon Thomas:
Actually the finish is Eastwood's "detail gray" from the pint thinned about
15 percent with mid temp reducer and sprayed from a gravity feed sprayer.
This is the second time I have painted it. The last paint job held up great
for 5 years and the only reason I repainted it was due to the fact I had to
have it serviced and installed 3.77 gears recently. The Alumi-blast is much
brighter and more well aluminum looking. Both colors seem to hold up well as
I have a friend here in town the has done countless top notch mustang and
Shelby restorations and he always paints the transmissions with the Eastwood
Alumi-blast. He recently sold a restored KR-500 for 130K. Would have loved
to have that in the garage next to the P-car but my wife thinks we should
save our money for our new house we are planning on, someday, maybe, well
hopefully.
