Correction:
205/60-15 BFG Comp TA's mounted on 7" Campys on the front

    My Pantera has...
305/50-15 BFG Euro TA's mounted on 8" Campys on the back, and
205/60-15 BFG Comp TA's mounted on 7" Campys on the front.

These tires have been on the car since I purchased it 3 years ago, and I'm confident they
were on the car for at least 5 years before that. Anyway, the rears are completely bald now
and the fronts have about 40% tread remaining, however I'm going to replace them as well.

I've had no problems with the 305's on the 8" wheel, despite the naysayers who tell me it's
dangerous to run such a wide tire on a narrow rim, and that it might roll off the rim under
hard cornering. This did concern me early on, but the BFG website used to list an 8" wide
wheel within the acceptable spec (the minimum width) for a 305/50-15 tire, so I wasn't too
  concerned.

Anyway, I'm going to order Toyo Proxes in a couple of weeks (before the end of the month).
This is the best price I've found so far...

  Rears:
  Toyo Proxes S/T, size: 295/50-HR15 $100 ea.

  Fronts:
  Toyo Proxes T1-R, size: 225/50-VR15 $97 ea.

  Toyo Proxes 4, size: 225/50-VR15 $71 ea.

I haven't made up my mind yet as to which tires I'll order for the front. Either the Proxes T1-R's
or the Proxes 4's. It looks like the T1-R might be a better/stickier tire, which would be a good thing for keeping the light front end of the Pantera pointed where I want. The 225-50-15
front size will be .83 inches shorter than my current tire, but I expect it will work well once I
remove the front spring spacers. I need to remember to check the front tire sizes of some
other Panteras with original Campy's at the next PCNC meeting.

  Cheers!
  Garth
