[DeTomaso] 8 x 15 tires

hi all - thought i sent a note earlier - might not have gone through - or maybe no interest (no problem!) - but will resend in case it didn't go - what is the best tire selection for 8x15 wheels front and back - one trusted expert's choice is 225/50/15 up front - 265/50/15 in the back - what do you think? - if you know the tires are available...better (and pls note vendor) - but if not, still interested in your views on the ideal "setup" - many thanks in advance, stephen - p.s., are 295/50/15 too wide for a rear 8x15 wheel?
