Larry,
Excellent ideas.....an automatic system like the one you describe would be preferable over a manual one....I just assume the moguls will continue to get a little deeper in that area of the course I mentioned earlier (miles 48-70) so this interests the hell out of me.
  thanks

  Hi MD!!!!

I already came up with a performance yet luxury solution for the patnera for
myself.

My new suspension setup would have coil overs to replace the stock ones but
i'll have "air bags" either.. sitting on top of the whole coil over unit or..
replacing the spring. If I replac the spring with the air bag, I can vary the
spring rate just by increasing or decreasing the air pressure.

Now that's the general concept of it.. it's better then using hydraulics,
and all it would need is a 12v air compressor you can mount in the front, a
tank, and some air lines and that's it.

For the convinence wise like on luxury sports vehicle, you can raise up the
front or lower it even more while your on the track and i'll incrase ur camber
as well for better corning ability (well to a certain degree) as well.

Also, air suspension setup also doesn't emit those annoying ghetto sound
when it release air so it's very "quiet" when it goes up and down.

Now... with that concept in hand, you can also built some nifty electronics
which I waht I plan to do.. you can have a sensor with a lever on it like on
my SL, and you can hook it up to a microchip or like a STAMP board unit..
and... well you can have it automatically lower a certain amount after a certain
speed or.. over ride it with a flick of a switch to raise the rear or etc or
anything. Now the electronics basically allow the air solenoid to stop
filling or releasing air on each air bag so you could accurately... raise the car
up 1 inch.. or 2 inch.. or drop it the same amount. Hook it up to your VSS
(vehicle speed senor) if you have one.. or make your own and.. yea it'll adjust
by itself or smoething for performance usage.. well the idea is kind of
endless but I think you get my point MD :)

You also wouldn't want the rear end of your car to jump up so abruptly when
your traveling over 100 mph.. or you might lose the rear end as well. You can
easily allow air to go into each cylinder slowly so it raises up and down
slowly and not so sudden. :)

Best Regards,
Larry
