THE SILVER STATE REPORT.....RE: [DeTomaso] silver states

Thanks JT,

I hit the dips at around 145 and with the combination of the cross wind,
it was interesting. I didn't bottom out, but I still have the original
spring spacers installed.

My car was squirrelly above about 120 this time. I think its because of
the new tires. With my old Michelin's it was stable all the way up past
150. I'm going to check the alignment. The front tires are exactly the
same size, so not sure what happened. Big pucker factor at speed.

For next year I'm going to add a front air dam, add some castor, and
check the alignment. Maybe add an oil cooler too! :) MD will love that
one.......

JB

MD & JB

Congrats guys, It is great to hear that you were recognized for extreme
performance. Your efforts make us all stand a little taller.

The dips pose an interesting challenge. Sounds like the magnitude came
as a
surprise to the participants. I'm glad everyone made it through safely.

What were your RPMs at 175MPH, peak oil temps and mods contemplated for
the
next go-round?

JB - How did your car feel at speed, any mods planned?

JT
