[DeTomaso] 24 hours of lemons - you heard it right!

Tell ya what...

I will ready the car if you let me use it.

I will get it up on the lift at my house, install the rack, bushings and
align. If the clutch is cheap enough, I will eat that too.

I want to win this thing and your car is the perfect candidate.

Whatcha say??

Mike Drew, can I borrow the VW? I want to enter this one.

Seriously!

Shoot me an email so we talk about it!! >>

>>>HAHAHAAH!!!!

The green scirocco would be a PERFECT candidate for this race. It is
actually surprisingly quick, handles astonishingly well due to the modified
suspension, stops on a dime due to the uprated brakes. And it appears to be
as
reliable as gravity.

I have discovered that the clutch isn't up to the task of running on the
track though--although that may be down to my own (poor) downshifting
technique.
Also, I discovered that the steering rack is totally blown-out,
Pantera-style.
I bought a new one, but haven't had time to install it yet. I also have
new
front suspension bushings for it. And it needs to be aligned afterwards.

Simply put, it's not ready for prime-time. :<(

The event itself looks like a gas, and I would have seriously considered
entering it if I could. :<(

Mike
