Problem fixed....It was just too much torque for the new clutch!!!! Okay, seriously DICK found the problem right away when he came by tonight....the clutch slave cyl "RELEASE LEVER locking "NUT" had vibrated lose and backed off while I was driving the Pantera yesterday.
THANKS again to all who wrote multiple emails.....we re-torqued every engine, suspension and chassis nut and bolt one more time....will put some more miles on the engine over the next week and a half before Silver State and check everything again but everything looks like a GO..

Do you have any free play at the pedal or at the lever on the trans?
If you have no free play, the clutch may not be fully engaged resulting in
clutch slip as well as prematurely wearing out the throwout bearing.
