[DeTomaso] Distributor help

I took my stock dizzy out but first marked the rotor and housing against the 
manifold.  I'm now trying to drop it back in but its wont set all the way 
down.  I've matched up the dizzy gear in the correct rotor position and the 
gear is engaging but it still wont drop all the way back down into the 
block.  I think it not lining up with the oil pump rod?  Any tricks to get 
past the point?
