Well that is not exactly accurate.  You technically -can-have adjustable
rockers with a hydraulic lifter cam.  I have it that way on my Mach I.

Technically a stock engine will have bolt down rocker arms.  Since he said
he has an aftermarket cam in it, I am suspect that rockers may not be
stock.  However, if they are, then I'm leaning more toward the idea of
bent pushrods or too much slack in the pushrods.  This is a very tricky
thing to take care of when using a non-stock cam and stock rockers.  It
gets worse when you have machine work done on the head and still use the
stock rockers.

I'm a fan of just using adjustable rockers, even if it's with a hydraulic
cam.
