MSD BOX I CAN'T THROW AWAY Re: [DeTomaso] Welding

To be honest with you this is now a non-issue for me ;-]> but for you old school guys let me say Thomas I've run 36 open road races and at least that many open track events and NEVER had a MSD box fail during a race.......BUT;
having said that as Forest and many others have said before when they do fail they seem to fail at the worst times. Want to know about Crane boxes?
BJ Filarski had a Crane box which DID FAIL at the Bonneville 100 ORR a couple years ago.....and he couldn't find a replacement Crane box anywhere in Wendover!!!

If these boxes are so fragile, and fails that often, why are people 
installing them in the first place?

What about the Crane ignition boxes? At least they appear to be better
