I rode in Tom Upton's street car. He has a quiet gear drive in his. It
sounds really nice - not obtrusive at all.
If I didn't have a perfectly good timing chain in my car already, I'd make
the switch.
I know - what Mikey said - I'm just agreeing.
Will.

Hi Doug,
I have one of those in my Pantera also, and love it. I can't honestly say
that it offers a performance benefit, although theoretically once it's set,
it
will never need adjustment or wear out unlike a chain.
The noise it makes is subdued, and beautiful, sort of like a supercharger
Gilmer belt whine, but much softer. Most people don't notice it until I
point it
out to them. Then once they 'tune' their ears to hearing it, they really
appreciate it. But it's not obtrusive at all.
Mike
