Dan,
There is a shop in Huntington Beach that has dedicated an engine dyno. I've had some work done by them in the past (and was satisfied) but have not used their engine dyno.
Fwiw, I was impressed with the owner and his chief wrench. Got some good feedback from a few other racers around HB and the OC. But a couple words of advise;
1. Don't even consider going unless you have a Webers guy with parts "ON SITE" when you do your dyno pulls....... otherwise you are wasting time and $$$ money. Richard charges $800 for a full day which is reasonable when you get as many pulls as you can make in 8 hours but he expects if he didn't build the engine that the end user (YOU) to have his engine builder and/or tuner ON SITE.
2. Bring your engine specs, etc.
3. You might want to FIRST have Dick Drenske or someone else do a leak down test 1st on the engine. Also check with Dennis Daly in OC who has Webers on his Pantera on who he or others may still be using for parts and tuning. As the owner RC Performance told me earlier he hasn't had an engine with Webers in his shop for YEARS.
Finally, I'll say I totally love Webers....they look and perform great once they are properly dialed in....I had them on a Jag before but also went through 2-3 shops with tuners who told me (or others told me) that they were Guru's with Webers and knew how to dial the webers in....they did not....I finally found a guy around the corner from my brother in the old neighborhood in Seattle who worked out of his garage who got the Webers dialed in after a couple hours work and I NEVER had another problem with them...ran them on the Jag for another 3 years or so in competition, on the street, etc....beautiful.
