Garth,

You have assembled quite a wealth of information here.
There are certainly quite a few ways to go. 
I'm leaning towards finding another Cleveland block and keeping it simple.
I'm still not over all the fabrication and mods required to lower and slide forward the small block Chevy in my other P (The Beast).
For the Winged Warrior I just want good drivability and dependability.
Thanks for giving me so much to think about.

  Many have. I believe both PI and Panteras by Wilkinson have been doing these conversions for customers for a while now.
