[DeTomaso] A/C Lines

Will,
     That long AC hose could cost $150 or more to replace plus the work 
involved in replacing it.  I kinda like your idea of coiling it up and 
leaving it in the engine compartment.  I think I would try that first.  I 
would also cap the end to keep crap from getting into the line.
