[DeTomaso] Intake installation tips?

Wow, craziness!
The good news is that I've driven the car for two years, in hot SoCal summers with the AC on and never had any overheating problems. So the heads must be modified to work properly. All of the badness started happening when I took the torker intake off and swapped on a performer intake. I immediately had the water leaks and the pinging. Granted, I really really struggled to get the intake on, so I have no doubt that the gaskets aren't sealed right. Was going to give it another shot this weekend.
But knowing they are 302 heads, is a performer intake the way to go? Would I be able to buy an intake specifically for the 302 boss heads? Yikes! I'm in over my head! :)
