Um, I hate to ask, but what is a "bronze MSD billet steel distributor gear"?
Is it bronze or steel?
Enquiring minds want to know . . .

Carbon-Poly-CompositeReplacement Gear

RUSS, DR DAN, MIKET, D*CK,

One of the drawbacks to a steel billet hyd roller cam and/or a HV oil pump
is the need to regularly check and if necessary replace the bronze gear if
you are racing....good news is they are cheap.

The bronze MSD billet steel distributor gear on my engine (shows slight
wear) so its a good time to replace the gear while we have the car apart
this winter waiting for the Mike Trusty EFI. Is anyone on the List using a
carbon-poly composite replacement distributor gear on their billet Comp
Roller Cam???

I didn't see a reference for the 351-C in the Comp Cams catalog online but
doesn't mean one doesn't exist..... I tried using the replacement steel gear
a local dyno shop recommended a couple years ago and that only proceeded in
chewing up the billet cam....dumb ass mistake #479 as billet roller cams
ain't cheap to replace.
