Many Pantera owners have been using Speed Bleeders in brakes & clutch with no
issues for years, except it doesn't work to run Speed Bleeders and then try
using a vacuum-type mini-vac suction pump to assist bleeding, since they will
fight each other. I reviewed Speed Bleeders in the Aug 2000 POCA News after
running them in my brakes & Tilton hydraulic clutch for a year with no problems.

As far a u-joints go, I think the 'Goose uses the same u-joints & half-shafts
as the Pantera. There is probably zero difference in modern brands, most of
which have been adapted to Panteras at least by the vendors' laboriously
cross-referencing tons of catalogues; to pay for this time spent, all casting marks
& IDs have been ground off.... There may be a tiny bit more strength for
ultra-hi-torque big block cars in u-joints with no zerk drillings, but for most
street cars that see little service anyway, I suggest greasable units are better.
the majority of failures are in the end caps & needle bearings anyway. FWIW,
'stock' Pantera u-joints in stock halfshafts are bigger than the once-popular
aftermarket Spicer halfshafts & u-joints- and those are sourced from Ford
F-500 trucks! Good luck- J DeRyke
