Joern:

Having recently looked into this very question for my own car, and having asked
most of the vendors, I was not able to find an aftermarket manufacturer of
brake pads specifically for the GT5 and GT5-S Panteras. One possibility is to
have your old pads re-lined with new compounds. Given that you are in Europe,
you will want to first check into doing it closer to home but, failing that,
either Dennis Quella or Pat Mical may be able to arrange help you. Pat is in
the process of researching this for his own GT5-S. Dennis did some research on
the subject for me, and so he has the options and costs ready to hand. Dennis
can be reached at (303) 660-9897 and Pat can be reached at (978) 649-2211.

If you want factory GT5 pads, Larry Stock at Pantera Parts Connection has a set
that he ordered for me before I decided that, due to the high cost of the pads
and other considerations, it made more sense to pack my factory calipers away
and install Brembos instead (my winter project next year). The cost for the
front and rear pads is, altogether, $1150 USD, and the parking brake is $92.40.
You can reach Larry at (775) 856-7011.

If you are looking to interchange the pads to another manufacturer then,
according to Roland Jaeckel, for GT3, GT4, GT5, and GT5-S Panteras, the front
pads cross reference to an Aston Martin DB5, the rear pads to a Jaguar XJ6, and
the parking brake to a Rolls Royce Silvershadow 2. This is consistent with most
other experts I spoke to.

Good luck, and let us know how your search turns out and what you decide to do.

Anyone know the part number on Porterfield pads for GT5 calipers?
