[DeTomaso] Vegas Drive I 15 bottlenecks!

I have driven to/from Vegas three times in the last four weeks from the Bay
Area.  If you are driving I-15 at the peak times which are Friday night into
Vegas and Sunday night out of Vegas, you are pretty much screwed.
Otherwise, there are no delays.

Some friends drove to/from Vegas a few weeks ago and said the road work 
on the west side of Baker had traffic backed up for about an hour!

So the Parump option won't help.

The other option is to go I 40 and then head off toward Kelso

I've driven that road and it is pretty good, smoother than the 
interstate in places and a lot of fun.

One problem though. I 40 has problems too:

However, checking my map, 46 mi east of Ludlow is also (maybe 10 mi) 
east of the turn off (Kelbaker rd.) so it shouldn't be a problem.

According to yahoo, that route is about 40 mi longer. They claim it's 
1:50 longer. We know it's probably about 1/2 that or less :)
