FYI to the Detomaso List Membership,

Some of you have experienced some difficulty in receiving email from the
Detomaso server over the last several months. This problem was eventually
traced to a SPAM subscription service called SORBS that had erroneously
included the Detomaso server address as generating SPAM. ISPs who
subscribed to SORBS ('Nology' was one but there could have been others as
well) subsequently blacklisted all email originating from the Detomaso
server IP address. In short, those list members stopped receiving email
from the Detomaso server.

I thought it appropriate to announce that we have finally succeeded in
getting the Detomaso server IP address removed from the SORBS SPAM listing.
The ISPs that were previously blocking Detomaso list email should relatively
quickly begin accepting list email again, though I'm not sure how long it
will take for the SORBS clearance to trickle down.

It is also possible that some members whose ISPs were rejecting Detomaso
email could have been suspended (and eventually removed) automatically by
the Detomaso admin software due to 'excessive bounces'. I don't have a good
way of identifying members who may have been disconnected from the list that
way, so if you happen to be aware of individual list members who were
experiencing problems, would you please let them know that they may need to
re-subscribe.

Hopefully we are past this issue once and for all.
