[DeTomaso] Brake Fluid Reservoid

To all

 How do you remove the Fluid Reservoir from the Brake Master Cylinder.
Does it just pull out, and more importantly can it be pushed back in
again. There appears to be a little bit of "black stuff" at the bottom
of the rear compartment that I can't get to clean or suction out with it
attached to the cylinder.

Also, the exterior of the reservoir has yellowed with age. Is there some
way to clean or buff out the yellowing?
