[DeTomaso] NPC - A B-24 keeps buzzing my house

FWIW, a B-24 has been flying over my house repeatedly all day, apparently
giving rides locally to raise $$$.  That or it's some kind of domestic
surveillance...

Hey, some good Corvair NPC here, a mid-engine Corvair-powered pickup truck:

Question:  How can this go forward ( and not in reverse gear ) ?  With an
auto, I reckon reverse rotation is impossible wrt not only to the fluid
coupling / torque converter, plus all the pump(s).  I'm 85% certain the R&P
is hypoid, so no flipping it.

I'm stumped...
