[DeTomaso] Dunlop Sport 8000's ?

They were on the car when I bought it, probably 3 years old, two track days
with me ( dropped them to 35 lbs. for that ) say some 3,400 miles and maybe
some possible smoky burnouts later...I'd say I'll be buying tires in
September.
The fronts were replaced last fall when I had a tire fly apart ( Left
front ), methinks it was underinflated, destroyed the sidewall, lucky I
didn't crash, I was flying low on I-95.
The worst part wasn't manhandling the car to maintain control, it was the 18
wheelers that were going 90 in the right lane and wouldn't let me cross over
to the shoulder. That's when I learned first hand about keeping people water
in the car as well, I had to wait three hours for a proper roll back to show
up ( I told the morons what I wanted 2x and then Gomer shows up in a Service
Station wrecker with a hook, pleeeeeeeeze!
No wheel damage, just as true and unscathed as it was before it happened.
