[DeTomaso] Body kit GT5-S?

I am curious to the details of the kits as I would like to know which
one I have. I was under the impression the fenders were opened up and
the flares welded in. My wide body is a complete stamped fender. The
flares themselves were not welded. An entire fender or body panel was
put in. Who does or did those kind of conversions? I really don't know
much about the history of my car.
