I just ust cut a deal with the Coker Tire people yesterday in Huntington Beach. I got really concerned because I've seen multiple messages from many of YOU on this same subject for MONTHS and none of you have been able to find that special tire requirement that YOU need. I've convinced the Coker tire people that we aren't interested in just 'talking about buying tires....we are ready to go.

  They are going to do a special run for us (really for me) so here's your last opportunity to buy vintage high speed tires for your Pantera at a fair price...here's your discounted sizes and discounted Team Pantera Racing tire prices;

  You gots 15" Wheels
  225/40/15/YR for 15 fronts @ $125. each
  275/50/15YR for 15 rears @ $175 each

  Or you gots 17" wheels
  245/35/17YR @ $150 each
  315/40/17YR @ $195 each

Note: These are tires are speed rated to 186 MPH for you really spirited fast Pantera drivers.....also each of the rear tires are spec'd to be 27" in diameter just like the originals.

  Terms and conditions

  1. You need to order 3 complete sets or 12 tires total.
  2. As a certified Coke dealer you will send your money to me (cash only)
  3. Road Warranty includes vintage debris falling off Panteras running in front of you.
  4. This deal runs out about a week before Silver State when all of you that can't make it can come up with a forgivable excuse why you aren't there with your 500HP motors! ;-]

  Mad Dawg
Yea, still no engine in the Pantera

  Michael,

The Michelin Pilot Sports are great tires. I'm looking for a tire that
I can get in 245/45-16 and 335/35-17 and I can't find much.

If all you need is the 335's, its hard to go wrong with the Pilots.

Subject: [DeTomaso] Tire Buying Time

Too many spirited driving sessions, heavy right foot, my bad!

I need new 335-35-17 rears, touring mostly, want high speed safety Z
Rating, little or no rain use unless I just get caught out in it.

choices seem to be

Mich. Pilot Sport

Mich. Pilot Sport 2

Pirelli P Zero

Dunlop SP 8000

Appreciate any feedback from personal use of any of the above.

Thanks
