[DeTomaso] oil pan removal

In my 1973 stock Pantera, the stock oil pan can be removed with the crossmember in place, but the parking brake bracket has to be cut off and the emergency brake cables must be detached. The bracket can be re-attached with sheet metal screws or pop rivets. The water hoses have to be detached. The starter motor has to be removed and set aside. The pan will drop far enough to slide forward and down. If it hangs up on a crank counterweight, rotate the crankshaft a bit. Sawing the crossmember off makes pan removal easier, but it is not absoutely necessary. I have performed this operation a couple of times.
