      It's not always who has the fastest car or bike is it. When the latest GTO came out I test drove one near my home. Performance package was great...not much soul or character and when I got out of the car and took a long minute to look  at it again I realized there was no old GOAT in the Pontiac GTO name anymore. 
   
  I had a '66 and and later a 67 Goat during in the early 70's...I lost more bracket races then I ever won in the GTO's usually by showroom stock Chevelle 396's and Mopar 440's but it sure as hell looked 'GOOD' doing it. .The old Goat's had a lot of style and that's how I STILL feel about the Pantera....Whether its at an open track or an ORR where its sometimes been the only Pantera there... it still looked and sounded better then just about everything else in the field.

Carrera's are kind of cool, but I like the older ones the best. The rest of 
them won't be missed, at leat not by me. The GTO had all the right 
performance for a fun street cat but unfortunately in a fugly package. The 
Tauraus, that thing was bum ass ugly since the day it was conceived.
