Bwahahhaha.....yea, blame me! ;-]>
most excellent points on going over all your suspension and engine, etc after a track or ORR event....espially where you are in an endurance WOT envent for 30-50 minutes...nylocks most excellent.

Question; anyone using the locking header bolts?

Seems like every time I go to the track something loosens or breaks.
The vibration and stress the car goes thru seems to cause this.
I can hear the shock towers creak on the mustang when pushing it
at the track (going to weld them up now that the motor is coming out)
I now check the bolts on the suspension, shocks, fuel lines and
as many electrical connections as I can to ensure things aren't coming
apart.... just like I have been doing on my dirt bikes for years.

I do retorque the wheels at the track, do a visual after every run.

Pantera in Vegas had both carb bowel connections loosen last year. (were ok
for over a year)
Pantera after the Silver State had the shock bolt nuts on one side loosen up
(nylocks reused)
Broke the rear deck latch after a run
Broke both brackets on the 180's after a run
Now the original oil pressure gauge ( I do have a real one for an alternate)
and the temp gauge
move back and forth with the fans running after the run at Thunderhill-
Loose ground???
Also broke the panard bar on the mustang the year I took it to the Vegas

My wife keeps asking me then why do you keep racing it??

I told her all the pressure from Dawg and the boys make me do it.
Then she tells me I am really full of it.

Bob Benson (I've been breaking things since I was 6)
