Don't worry about my phone book slacker....you just worry about getting your oil cooler and front air dam finished along with new tires so you don't have any excuses in the Spring.

I thought you always used a phone book to see over the steering wheel anyway?

Good point....you need to cut your torso in half or mod the floor and seat....I'm no where near 6'2" but with the Hall cage and a helmet on my unhelmeted head was right up against the bar on the front AND the 'side bar of the cage....with the helmet on it was resting against the bar with no padding.....it didn't work for 5'8" so I can't imagine how it would work for anyone taller.
Drenske did a 3-way cut and re-welded the floor to drop the floor down about 2" inches and he also installed an aftermarket race seat....I can barely see over the steering wheel now...may need a booster seat! ;-]

I drove a GT5 conversion with Hall's assemble-it-in-the-car 5-point roll cage
(7-point if you add the bars thru the rear window). At 6'2", my problem was
not the rear nor the windshield bar, but the side-bar across the driver's door
opening. If I sat upright and didn't lean AT ALL, my not-overly-large head had
around 1" of clearance to that very solid chunk of steel. I didn't check the
passenger seat fit, but a dropped floorpan and far different seats would be
absolutely mandatory if we owned such a car. My 2¢- J DeRyke
