Short answer is NO.

The hood exhaust is an excellent idea for increasing airflow through the
radiator and DECREASING airflow under the car- maybe for a decrease in drag? It
also seems to create downforce as Panteras with GT-40-sized gurney DUCTS (note-
in common usage, a gurney FLAP is a removable strip on the rear spoiler to
adjust balance). seem to need no front air dam to keep the front wheels on the
ground at very high speeds. I'm not familiar with P-200-sized vents but at least
two Panteras that do use a big enough hood exhaust to work, also have the
stock front bulkhead and part of the horizontal floor cut away from the front
trunk, which then cuts down on being able to carry things like spare tires,
electrics etc, up there. And that front bulkhead is a structural part of the
chassis so chopping it away means stiffening must be added to keep the front
suspension and steering rack from flopping around. Nothing is ever simple and there
are always tradeoffs when you redesign parts of a car.... so I'm not surprised
that Dennis Q's cost to add them is significant. Question is, are they big
enough?
FWIW- J DeRyke (who seldom drives long distances above 160mph so doesn't need
it...)
