The real reason auto manufacturers switched to aluminum radiators is cost.
They cost less than traditional copper brass radiators.
And weight. The weight and cost is why they have now gone to plastic
radiator end tanks and glue the core to the tanks. The manufacturers try to
trim every pound possible to improve the MPG for the EPA.
