If your area uses ethanol added to your gasoline (Hawaii is 15% ) or if
you use additives, make sure that the product will stand up to them.
When I was shopping aroound for a sealer for my spare tank I was told
that many sealers aren't made to work with fuel additives, ethanol
included.  One of the few is Red Kote by Damon.  Really easy to use and
seals the tank by creating a "bladder" inside the tank.  You just wash
the tank out with acetone add the Red Kote and spin the tank to coat the
interior.   It isolates and seals the existing rust and plugs small
holes.
